We let Isaac play hookie from preschool today so we could take full advantage of the snow Chicago finally enjoyed. It really was a perfect snowfall - we got about 6 inches in 24 hours, so everything looks beautiful but it's not overwhelming.
I learned a valuable lesson today - my children are not yet capable of walking 1/2 mile through the snow without whining. Next time I'll drive to the sledding hill. It took probably 30 minutes and it almost ruined the whole experience. But we barely survived the trek, and the sledding was a blast.
This didn't last long.
I made pouty pants walk and carry his own sled.
