Spike: Momma, in that story was Peter wearing his bathing suit?
Me: In what story, honey?
Spike: In that story, Momma!
Me: ????
Spike: In that story with Peter and the water?
Me: Do you mean when Peter walked on the water with Jesus? (I told him this story a week ago.)
Spike: Yeah! ... Was Peter wearing his bathing suit in that story?
Me: (amused) No, I don't think so, honey.
Spike: What was he wearing?
Me: He was wearing clothes.
Spike: Oh. ... What kind of clothes?
Me: (oh boy...) Oh, like robes and stuff. And sandals.
Spike: I have sandals! ... Did his sandals get water in them?
Me: They probably got a little water in them.
Spike: Oh.
