A Conversation

This morning while I was in the shower, I heard the door open and close.  Then a little voice said...

Spike: Hi Mom.  I just came in to ask you some questions.

Me: Oh, yeah?  Okay.  What are your questions. 
Spike: Why does the earth spin again?
Me: That's how we get day and night.  When our side is close to the sun, it's day. When it's away from the sun, it's night.
Spike: And why can't I do a somersault?
Me: You probably just have to practice.
Spike: Why do our teeth rot?
Me: Well, they only rot if you don't take good care of them. The sugars in food can make them rot if you don't brush them well. 

And without another word, I heard the door open and close again.  I guess those were all of his questions for now!
