Flash Forward

I had a little flash-forward moment with my kids and their friends the other day: 

Two girl friends, Sofia (4) and Eva (3) were sitting together on a lawn chair with a towel over them both.  The boys were in the pool and started doing tricks -- jumping off the edge, wrestling each other, etc -- and kept looking over to see if the girls were watching.  They were.  The girls starting giggling at them and so the boys' antics got increasingly sillier and rougher. 

I sat there thinking, this is exactly what having teenagers is going to be like.
