Grammy Pammy and Grandpa Tim stayed with us for Isaac's first week of life. They were an AMAZING help. Pam's experience as an OB nurse and a mom were invaluable and Isaac loved to listen to Grandpa Tim talk during his awake time.


Grandpa Dave and The Lady Who Can't Decide What She Wants to Be Called (Nana? Farmor? Grandma Kareni? Hey you?) met Isaac for the first time on Thursday in the hospital.


Uncle Joshy flew in from Florida to celebrate his birthday and meet is new nephew. He's the only family member whose voice doesn't change at all when he's talking to a baby. The worst baby talk offender: Auntie Carrie.


Uncle Dango and Auntie Mango got to meet Issac when he was 5 days old. When Kate was in labor last Wednesday, Dan had just flown in from Maine and his family came to Chicago to pick him up. Now, on his way back to Maine, they all got to meet the fruit of that labor!


Big girl cousin Nadia got to hold her new cousin AND carry him from getting his diaper changed out to his mom in the front room. She was very proud!


"Sammy Dusen" was SO cute with his new baby cousin. He kept pointing out tiny body parts to his mom--"Look his little nose, Momma." Here he's asking her what the little crease on Isaac's chin is. Then he proceeded to bring Isaac toys and stack them up on top of him.


Peter and Liz Verhage are proud Godparents of Isaac. Zach and Liz have been friends since the Danielsons moved to Minnesota when Zach was a toddler. They are some of our favorite people in the world and will be amazing spiritual role models for our boy as he grows.
