Lately the boys have been really interested in exploring outside after dinner when it's dark out. They want to hear the crickets, look for nocturnal animals, and see the stars. Last Friday we took a little excursion to the beach before bedtime to see the few stars visible through the city's light pollution. More beautiful from here, though, was the skyline from the little pier.
Tuesday and Wednesday the boys and I took a 24 hour trip to Michigan to see my parents. Before our drive home, we explored their back yard and then the neighbor's giant blow up pumpkin. Grandpa Tim, one of Thor's most favorite people in the world, carried him around during the adventure.
Today at breakfast, two days later, Anders was recalling his experience to me. He said: "Grampa. Dark. 'Side. Crickets. Punkin." Nodding and looking quite serious all the while.
