Recently I pointed out where various family members live on a map for Isaac. Later, we went for a walk. Spike was looking around, taking it in. Then he said, "Mom, is this all a big map?" "Hm?" He motioned around him with his arm, "Is this aaaaaaall just a big map?"
Next he'll be asking me if this life is really a dream and some day he's going to wake up to find that he's a 5 day old baby who hasn't actually lived yet. Or if we are all really just figments of God's imagination. Or if robots actually defeated humans 15 years ago and have placed us under mind control to think that we're in the real world when in fact only our brains are living here while the rest of our bodies are asleep in green liquid being stimulated by electromagnetic shocks... (that was my fuzzy memory of The Matrix if you couldn't tell.)
