Scared

Isaac has never shown signs of stranger anxiety or been scared of anyone. But then...

Hilda has taken to stopping by. It started at our Halloween party. She was on her way somewhere and has to walk by our condo to get to the bus stop. She saw that we were home, so she rang the buzzer. Since then she's stopped by a few times. She's always been on her way out or home, and just wants to ask for a ride or see what we're up to.

Yesterday I hadn't seen or talked to her in quite awhile. She rang the buzzer around 4:30 and I met her in the entry way with Isaac on my hip.

She was wearing a huge poofy coat and a funny hat with ear flaps. She loves Isaac and started chatting him up and kissing his hand. All of the sudden, he tensed up and started crying! I backed away from Hilda and told him it was OK, but to no avail. He looked at her and just SCREAMED! He had great big tears and everything! This has never happened before.

Hilda said, "Why is he crying? I love you!" Awww! I felt bad for both of them. I told Hilda I would call her later and took scaredy pants inside. We waved at her from the front window, but little man was still whimpering. She is kinda scary...
