Not Suitable for Small Children

When you're a stay-at-home mom, you have precious little time to yourself during the day. When Baby takes a nap, you must learn to prioritize. You never know how long the baby's nap may be, so as soon as you know he's asleep, you must start with those things on your to-do list that you cannot accomplish while he is awake.

For example, last Wednesday, when Isaac took a nice, long afternoon nap, I could have accomplished a lot. I could have...

made the bed,
completed my homework,
shoveled the snowy walk,
or loaded the dishwasher.

Instead, I chose to do something "not suitable for small children." I...
watched an hour and a half of "Will and Grace" and drank hot chocolate with little marshmallows in it.

Oh, and took these pictures to post on the blog.

Gotta have priorities, you know.

  3. I am all in favor of "me time", whatever that looks like. For me, it's usually Anthony Bourdain or House Hunters. I'm a dork.

Also, I'm totally jealous of your dishwasher. My sink is currently full of dishes (not a usual habit of mine, but I'm unusually lazy this week), and I'm pining for a dishwasher...
