Father's Day

One characteristic I find particularly adorable about my husband is that he loves hosting parties. Although he needs his alone time too, Zach, just like his dad, is happy when the house is full. So I knew that the best way to celebrate Father's Day would be to do it with friends.

In attendance: Jakey Jake (who is like an uncle to the boys),
Josh (who is an uncle to the boys),
and Peter (also uncle-like and Isaac's god-father)...

...the Kwans and Lims, who are in our small group from church...

...and Liz (Isaac's god-mother), her parents, and her daughter Eva (our god-daughter).
All told, including me and all the kiddos, there were 18 people!

I have one fertilizer-free, garden-less patch of dirt where Izey and Ando are allowed to dig.
All the children in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the ugliest patch of our yard!
They got sooooooo dirty!

Spike and his little buddy Logan, enjoying a graham cracker together :)

Spike roasting his marshmallow for his first ever s'more!

He liked it!

It's days like these that make us soooooo grateful for our house, deck, and yard. We took full advantage--we grilled and picnicked, the kids played in the little pool and dug in the dirt, and we enjoyed an after-bedtime grown up fire. After years in our little condo, we are fully appreciating all that we are now blessed with!

  1. Happy Father's Day to me!! Thanks for coming, everybody. And thanks for doing all the hard work, honey. Hosting is fun when your wife is a party-throwing rock star.
