Theory of 8

You cannot sit or lay on the floor in our house. At least not while little boys are awake. If you do attempt such a silly thing, you will be attacked by a giggling baby, soon to be followed by his screaming big brother.

Zach had a theory that we could accomplish exactly eight sit ups before a wrestling match ensued. Tonight we tested it out. Anders was trying to climb on a chair, paying little attention to his parents, and Zach laid down and started counting out his sit ups.

By two, Anders was smiling at him devilishly. By four, Anders was down from the chair and on his feet. By six, he was well on his wobbly way. And at exactly eight, he pounced.

Ando and Daddy wrestled for a bit and then Zach put him back down. Then it was my turn.

"One, two..." Devilish smile.
"Three, four..." On his feet.
"Five, six..." Wobbly walk.
"Seven, eight! Ahhhh!" Attack!

Works every time.
