Well, blogging has taken a back seat to summer fun for the last few weeks, but here are some highlights:
On Memorial Day weekend, we visited Zach's parents in Minnesotaand thoroughly enjoyed their pool!
While there, we ran a marathon as a relay team (each of us running approximately 6.5 miles) with our good friends Tim and Meghan.
The next weekend, we went to a Care Fair fundraiserwith our good friends Peter and Liz and Eva.

Also at the Care Fair, Isaac got a...leg painting. He chose flowers. That's my boy. Back at home, we got a slip-n-slide. Best $8 ever spent!
We've been doing lots of hanging around in jammies. :)
On one rainy and restless day, we decided to go ahead and get a little wet. 
We went to Michigan to visit my brother Dan, Mango, and baby Harrison (who is still in utero)...
...and celebrated the birthdays of these crazy kids--my niece Nadia and nephew Sam.
Back in Chicago, on a Tuesday that looked like this ^
we spontaneously decided to hit Shedd Aquarium... 
...and had a ball. :)
...which brings us to this past weekend, when we went on a bike ride...
...and flew a kite at our picnic spot.And yesterday we had great fun celebrating Father's Day. I'll try to get those pictures up tomorrow.

Love the pics. How do you like your bike trailer for the kids? We'll have to chat about it. We've been debating on that or a seat for Thomas....And I saw a slip and slide in the ads this weekend (for $3!!!!) and totally want one for me. (except I fear I'm imagining it far more fun that it would actually be for me). Love you!
ReplyDeletethe bike trailer has been really fun, but the boys sometimes bug each other in it. i would definitely prefer it to a seat--it is a lot safer, can carry more than one kid, and can hold all our beach stuff or some groceries as well.
ReplyDeleteand i definitely have played on the slip-n-slide. i ended up with weirdly sore abs, but i laughed so hard i cried the first few times. my family and neighbors got a kick out of it too. :)
the Shedd is one of my most favorite places in the world.
