These first 6 weeks have been a blur.
Last night Zach and I looked at all the pictures we've taken of Isaac in the past 6 weeks. There are approximately 1,238,365. Yeah, it took awhile.
I couldn't believe how much he's grown already! When we first brought him home, we had to fold up the sleeves of his jammies, and his 0-3 month onesies were huge on him. Now the chubbo is wearing 3-6 month clothes and I had to pack away a bunch of stuff he's already outgrown!
When Zach was a baby, people used to always say he looked "so serious." Yesterday a lady peeked in Isaac's stroller and laughed. "He looks so serious!" I think it's his eyebrows. They look just like his dad's, which I LOVE. They are very expressive, just like Zach's. Espeically the left one, which is the one he's always raising at me, just like Zach.
Every day we see Isaac learning new things. His neck keeps getting stronger, his smiles more frequent, and he tries oh so hard to suck on his thumb. He's actually getting it to his mouth these days instead of just flailing his arms and sticking out his tongue. He's also just starting to explore his voice once in awhile--which is a welcome change from all the grunting. When he first started to have more awake time, he reminded me a little of E.T. It was his grunts and the way he moved his arms and head. But now, thank God, he's coming out of that phase. Now instead of "Alien Baby" I can call him "Cutest Baby EVER."
sorry i couldn't stop to chat with you and isaac at tre kronor today. it was good to see you from across the room, though.
