Zach and I are off to Cincinnati this afternoon. It's been a really busy couple of days, but I just wanted to get a quick update out there so you could join us in prayer and know what's going on.
Last Thursday's appointment at Evanston Hospital involved the virtual consultation with Dr. Crumbleholme out at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He was the one who upon hearing our initial numbers estimated that there was only a 5% chance we might need fetal surgery. Upon seeing all of our ultrasounds, etc, he thinks there might be a higher chance (although he didn't put a number on it.) He thinks our docs here might be underestimating the tumor's size. That was hard to hear.
So we scheduled a quick trip to Ohio. We're leaving this afternoon, staying with a friend's brother, and having all of our appointments tomorrow, and driving home tomorrow night. My mom will be here any minute and is staying with Izey boy. We'll miss him!
We'll try to post ASAP upon our return. Please pray for good counsel and good news, as well as God's presence in all the details of the trip.
