Izey's Buddy

This is Miles.

He's another one of my many favorite little people. He and his parents, Scott and Emily, go to our church. I've been babysitting Miles the past couple weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Izey and I are happy for the company. Miles is famous for his easy disposition, e.g. he has slept from 8pm to 8am every night since he was just a little dude, he goes down for a 3 hour nap every afternoon without so much as a protest, last week he was one of the only babies NOT crying in the church nursery....you get the idea. Plus, he's adorable.

It's really fun to have an older baby around. He and Isaac are buddies. The first time Miles came over, he and Isaac kept kissing and hugging each other. Probably mostly because I kept reacting so strongly to it: "Awwww! You guys are SO cute! That is soooooo niiiiiice. Awwww."

Despite the apparent terror in his face, Isaac went on to give Miles a big smooch after this picture was taken.

The second time Miles came over, he followed Izey around brushing his hair. They also have a shared interest in chasing the cat.I love the conversations that Miles and I can have, too. A conversation with a 17 month old is much more complex than a conversation with a 10 month old, no matter how intelligent and well advanced that 10 month old may be.

My conversation with Izey:
"Izey, what does a cow say?"
[shakes his head and laughs]
"That's right! 'Moooo!'"

My conversation with Miles:
"Miles, what does a cow say?"
"Mooooooo!"
"That's right! 'Moooo!'"

Tuesday was supposed to be warm , so we hooked up the doubles kit on our fabulous stroller roller (a gift from Z's 'rents) in hopes that I could take both boys outside. Since it was not actually warm on Tuesday (it was actually warm on Wednesday, so I couldn't stay mad at the weather for long), we did go outside, but not without the protection of the "bubble." By the time I got the boys ready, I was cracking up at the sight of them both bundled and packaged in the plastic-covered-stroller-roller. Miles wasn't too sure about this strange force field at first, and he tried to turn around to peek at Isaac, but couldn't find him. Once we got moving, both were pretty content to watch the world go by through their warm perches.
